Clinical admission
Clinical admission can be arranged immediately. Within 24 hours, if so desired. There is a choice between the SolutionS Center Voorthuizen – the first private addiction clinic in the Netherlands and Belgium - and any of the 30 partner clinics in England, Germany, Portugal, the USA, Antigua and South Africa. These clinics allow SolutionS to offer an appealing range of options in terms of location, language, facilities, approach, length and costs of the programme. Besides alcohol and drugs, a number of clinics are specialised in eating disorders, sex addiction, depression/burn-out and prescription drugs addiction. In addition, several clinics specifically focus on young people.
Stages in the programme: clinical admission
The treatment process in the clinics consists of 2 stages:
1st stage – admission to our clinic
You will take part in our so called 28-day programme. This is a well-know notion in addiction care: it is a therapeutic programme with a meticulously though-out structure and content. Sometimes, a client’s specific individual problems call for an extension of the programme. This may take an additional 1 to 2 weeks.
2nd stage - aftercare
After being discharged from the clinic, clients may opt for a consecutive stay in a so called secondary care facility. This involves a constant balancing between therapy and activities aimed at re-establishing a normal life. Together with the staff, the clients select the focused activities in the form of task processes and/or voluntary work. Furthermore, clients go on excursions and there is very intense participation in the fellowship meetings. During all this, clients are exposed to the temptations that exist in normal life, in a well-balanced manner. Always together with fellow clients, yet with a rather strict regime as the big stick. The duration of treatment in secondary ranges from 1 to 6 months, yet it can be longer.
Tertiary care
The client is given more freedom, however, at the same time more responsibility as well. The client will increasingly focus on his/her work or studies during their stay. Therapeutic supervision continues to be provided. This tertiary stage continues until the client is ready to return home. During the stay at the clinic, SolutionS remains in contact with the client, the attending staff and the people back home. For next of kin there is a separate therapy process. After all, addiction is a family disease. This family therapy programme is used in the detoxification clinics and within SolutionS.
SolutionS will develop a separate therapy project for the next of kin, if required. Addiction is a family disease. The exact details of the family therapy programme are detailed both here and at the clinics.
