Detox

Clients may not always have the time to follow a complete programme in one of our clinics; still a brief clinical stay of at least 5 days is required in order for the client to detox (to rid the body of toxins). This shorter admission can take place immediately following the intake, either in the Netherlands or abroad.

Detox under medical supervision

Naturally, the detox treatment will take place under the constant supervision of specialist physicians and paramedical staff. Clients will first undergo a broad medical examination. The detox method that we use is extremely humane and usually painless. Withdrawal symptoms are neutralised through temporary medication.

Detox takes at least 5 days, and rarely more than 10 days; its only purpose is to detox the body. The actual therapy that is aimed at handling the addiction itself can only start after detox.
